We made a horizontal loop on the end of the hanger a little smaller than the Spaldeen and fished the ball out. The other alternative was to run into the corner grocery store and borrow the food grabber thing that was used to reach the food on the upper shelves. We stuck that down the sewer, squeezed the handle and carefully lifted the ball out. After all it cost 25 cents, which was a whole week's allowance.
